The information you have for L.L.Bean is incorrect. L.L.Bean has not announced layoffs in call centers or anywhere. In fact, we just recently hired 5,000 seasonal workers.

A company like myjobassistant needs to audit and understand the people contributing to their site. To that end, I recommend you do not allow Phil Rosenberg to contribute to your site, as he has taken several peoples money, committing fraud under the guise of resume writing.

Not sure where you are drawing your information from, but the City of Spokane has not announced layoffs of the magnitude you mention. Perhaps you have confused us with Spokane County–different entity.

At this point, we are looking at the possibility of 15 layoffs and the elimination of about 20 other, vacant positions.

We would appreciate this information being corrected.

Great advice. Employers tend to pay attention to first communication including cover letters, especially checking spelling and neatness as this can say so much about you.

All of this is very good advise. The best way I have found to impress my boss is not by using my body which is what most people think, but instead I try and suggest things about IM that my boss is not aware of. He is a mainly offline kind of guy.

As a Clerical Assistant I see a heck of allot of resumes and a good cover letter defo helps to make it stand out. That and a picture can only help your chances of getting a call!
