Dreams And Dream Jobs Can Come True

One of the most common causes of failing is the habit of quitting when you are almost at the peak of your success.  It is as such as how we humans are programmed.  To think that we are not deserving or capable to have powerful positions and maybe great riches?

Look deep into your heart and feel what you would like to become in life.  What is your dream job?  Where do you see yourself in future years?  It’s your choice.   Desire it.  Desire it so much that you can taste it.  Unlock that feeling of inadequacy.  Then nothing in the world can keep you from achieving it.

Before you succeed in life, you’re bound to meet with at least some temporary defeat or setbacks.  When this happens, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. This is what most people do, and is often what we feel that we should do.  It’s a natural response and choice.  But is it a good choice?

Don’t get fooled by thinking you are failing.  Everyone undergoes a period of slow times.  It’s all part of the process of learning before you reach success.  Don’t give up, as this means that success is just around the corner.

If God has given you a dream, don’t let it die.  And don’t let anyone tell you that it can’t happen.  If you believe that it can, and you work long and hard, your dream will come true.

There is no shortcut.  You will have to spend hours, days, months and maybe years to make it happen.  But anything that’s worthwhile in life isn’t easy.  If it was, everyone would be doing it or have it.

You must practice six practical steps in order to make your dream a reality:

First. You must think hard of what it is exactly that you want.  Don’t be wishy-washy.  Focus on the career or business that you want to have.  There are a lot of jobs and franchises out there.  Which occupation or business would feel most significant to you?

For example, if it’s a high-paying job that you wish, concentrate on that particular type of job and lifestyle, and decide what you feel would be the amount of money that you desire.

Second.  Choose precisely the amount of time that you will dedicate to attain this dream job or the sacrifices that you will make to become the owner of your own business.

Third.  Select a date that you want to achieve this amount of money and career.

Fourth.  Get a plan ready with steps that you will follow through to the end to accomplish your goal.

Fifth.  Write out the exact amount of money that you will attain at different intervals to the end of your plan, along with statements of the different learning tools that you will use along the way.  Include various strategies that you will commit to, to perfect your plan.

Sixth.  Read your statement every single day out loud, two to three times per day as you concentrate on your success.  Do this when you get up in the morning, in the afternoon on your way to lunch, and especially when you retire to bed.

Only those that practice affirmation and become money conscious achieve their spectacular dream job, and receive wealth.

Remember, you make the choice as how much you will give and to what will be the final consequence of your desire.

Do know that you will never have it, if you don’t honestly believe that it will be yours.  If you don’t see the dollar signs in your mind, you won’t see them in your bank account either.

Have you ever heard of the power of persuasion?  Well persuade yourself and recite that you are deserving of a fabulous life, and yes, you can and will make it happen!

The Gamers Dream Job – Widespread Misconceptions of Video Game Testing

January 14th, 2010

Testing video games is a real profession. While it does not need a suit and tie, video game testers must show professionalism just like white collar jobs. Video game testing is fun if you really have a passion for playing video games. The fact is, you are playing to find bugs and problem situations in the game.

The First Myth:

Video game testers earn $200 per hour. Of course this is false information! Several people running money-making schemes would love for you to believe this myth. In reality, an entry level video game tester earns around $10 to $15 per hour. Veteran game testers are paid at about $80 an hour.

The Second Misconception:

Any kid who likes video games can be hired to test them. Again, this is totally fictitious. Game companies adhere to the same labor laws as any other industry. So, they only use the services of adults over the age of 18.

The Third Misconception:

The job consists of playing the game and offering a few comments and/or suggestions afterward. No, you have to play through the game again and again until you find some glitch or inconsistencies in the level. The game company will send instructions with each game that should be read carefully so that you can include all required information in your report.

The Fourth Myth:

A capable game tester will be a very educated person with above average computer skills. While it is vital to know some things about computers, academic education is not nearly as important.

As far as being computer savvy goes, all you really require is to be capable when using the computer. All you have to be able to do is help yourself.

No college degree is necessary for this job. Familiarity in either console or PC gaming, combined with a talent for noticing details, will be the two skills that serve you best when trying to land one of these jobs.

Video game testing is a fairly new area in the gaming community. You have as much chance to become a professional game tester as much as the other gamer. Just take things step by step, and you may find yourself advancing to the next level: professional game testing! Video game testing can be enjoyable and lucrative for passionate gamers, but beware of scams and myths surrounding the industry.

Visit my site for more information on video game testing and get the full story from someone who knows what they’re talking about. You really can get paid to play video games. Find out how.

How to Describe Yourself in an Interview and Seal the Deal

January 10th, 2010

There you are dressed your best and being interviewed for the job of your dreams and the dreaded question gets asked, ‘Describe yourself for me.’ This question is almost always asked by perspective employers and almost always answered with a resounding uuuuuh… Knowing how to describe yourself in an interview can mean the difference of landing your dream job or going back to the want adds.

It helps if you come to grips with the fact that this question will be asked and you prepare for it ahead of time, but be careful that you don’t some off sounding like you memorized a script the night before. When getting ready to describe yourself in an interview you should consider the following:

•Don’t tell them what they already know: Don’t start out with your name and age, they have that on the application and repeating it sort of makes you sound silly. Instead of saying where you went to school -also on the application- tell the interviewer what you got out of your schooling or who influenced you along the way. Get into any activities or hobbies you have that may not be listed on the application. This is your time to let the interviewer know everything about you that is not on the application already.

•Give your strengths AND your weaknesses: First off all when giving your strengths, never come off too cocky. Be proud, but be careful not to toot your own horn too loudly as this can be a major turn-off to the interviewer. Besides giving what your strengths are, also mention your weaknesses, but do it in a way that makes you look good. ‘I have no patience for those that do not want to go the extra mile to help a co-worker,’ or ‘A big fault of mine is that I tend to pay too much attention to detail when it may not be needed.’ Statements such as those show the interviewer that you don’t think you are perfect, but that your faults are good ones to have.

•Be honest: This is most important of all. If you are not being honest many prospective employers can see right through your bologna and besides, you are who you are. If the job isn’t meant to be, then that is life. Never pretend to be somebody you are not.

•Speak clearly and don’t stammer: This goes back to the whole practice thing. If you are constantly stammering or saying ‘uh’ then you give off the impression that you are searching for words to say. This gives a bad vibe off because if you don’t know who you are, then who really does?

While there are no magic words to speak that will guarantee you a job, you should be prepared to adequately describe yourself at an interview. Again, you know the question is coming, so you may as well prepare for it. A good trick is to stand in front of the mirror and interview yourself. Ask yourself the question and answer the question. Would you hire yourself? If the answer is no, then chances are neither will the prospective employer, so keep practicing until the answer is yes.

Art is my ultimate dream job

January 7th, 2010

The gift or art is a wonderful thing. Being an artist is a dream job for any young child as he draws in class, or at home. I once found out my talent in middle school and now, I want to make it not a dream but a reality. I didn’t just start out wanting to be an animator, but I just loved to draw. It was like it is in my blood. What I love about drawing is that it gives me a sense of creativity that many people do not have. It enables me to speak with pictures, instead of using my own voice. It shows what I am not able to tell and what I’m not able to say or express.

Art is a way for the artist to express his feelings without having to say them out loud. Art can be beautiful, ugly, happy, sad, fact, or fiction. And now it is one of the most important things in our life. Not everyone is able to express themselves through art. Some do it through writing, or cooking, or any other job that they have. But the ones that are able to create masterpieces using art seem to be more gifted than those who cannot. The way a painting looks once it’s done is one of the most amazing things that you are able to see in your lifetime; to see the labor that the artist put into his work and make it look the way it does. Every time, I see a portrait or any drawing makes me smile and makes me respect art even more.

I love art with all my heart. I want to use the talents I have in my own life. But I also want people of all ages to enjoy it. From little kids to grown adults, the kind of artist I would like to be is an animator. I love drawing cartoon characters because it gives me a sense of joy and it make other people around me happy as well. I want to make a story and bring it to life the only way I know how; by using my talents as an artist. I love animation with all my heart. It is my dream and I am going to make it a reality. It is one of the only joys that I have. It enables me to show my artistic ability and to tell a story.

Art is a wonderful gift that should be loved and shared all through out time. It should always get the respect that it deserves. My life would mean nothing to me if I weren’t able to create artworks, just like many lives would. I am going to use my artistic ability all my life and I will never stop. Being an animator is my dream and it will soon be my life. Never give up on your dreams for one day you will regret it. I know I would.

Singing Career

January 7th, 2010

My ultimate dream job would be to be a singer. Not for the money, not for the fame…but for the love of singing. I would also love to be able to get on a stage in front of thousands of people and sing songs that I wrote from my own experiences. I believe that to be a role model for people my age and/or younger would be an incredible job. I would be a much better role model, not someone like Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera who is commonly seen scantily clad. Children do not need to see that, nor should they want to dress like that.

One thing that I would do as a singer would be sing about my personal life experiences and try to get in touch with people who have also encountered situations similar to mine. I would try to keep in touch with my “fans” as much as I possibly could. I know that the music business is a very difficult business to be a part of, yet I would try my hardest to be myself and not like the other singers that are popular right now.

Being on stage in front of audiences that actually want to hear what I have to say would be an incredible experience. I have been writing my own songs and poetry since about the age of 13 and I have gone through some hardships that reflect through my writings. I think that when the younger audience hears the words of the singers that inspire them, they try to be like them in any which way possible and that is a feeling that I strongly wish to encounter.

As a teenager, I know that it is important to have somebody to look up to. I look up to my mom because she is strong and someone I would like to be similar to. I also have a celebrity role model, Amy Lee of the rock band Evanescence. She is an amazing singer, she dresses appropriately and she is the one person in this world that I would like to be compared to, besides my mother.

For my time off, I would try to arrange a camp for children who are underprivileged and into writing and performing their own music. If something related to that were offered to me I would take part in it. Apart from the good side of music, it is known that it takes a lot to get into the music industry. There is a lot of rejection, adjusting and other things that put you to the test. I would try my best to overcome every obstacle placed in front of me. If I did not succeed then at least I would have given it my all and I would still recommend giving forth the effort to try and pursue your dreams. If nobody pursued their dreams then think of how much the world would be suffering.
