Dreams And Dream Jobs Can Come True

One of the most common causes of failing is the habit of quitting when you are almost at the peak of your success.  It is as such as how we humans are programmed.  To think that we are not deserving or capable to have powerful positions and maybe great riches?

Look deep into your heart and feel what you would like to become in life.  What is your dream job?  Where do you see yourself in future years?  It’s your choice.   Desire it.  Desire it so much that you can taste it.  Unlock that feeling of inadequacy.  Then nothing in the world can keep you from achieving it.

Before you succeed in life, you’re bound to meet with at least some temporary defeat or setbacks.  When this happens, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. This is what most people do, and is often what we feel that we should do.  It’s a natural response and choice.  But is it a good choice?

Don’t get fooled by thinking you are failing.  Everyone undergoes a period of slow times.  It’s all part of the process of learning before you reach success.  Don’t give up, as this means that success is just around the corner.

If God has given you a dream, don’t let it die.  And don’t let anyone tell you that it can’t happen.  If you believe that it can, and you work long and hard, your dream will come true.

There is no shortcut.  You will have to spend hours, days, months and maybe years to make it happen.  But anything that’s worthwhile in life isn’t easy.  If it was, everyone would be doing it or have it.

You must practice six practical steps in order to make your dream a reality:

First. You must think hard of what it is exactly that you want.  Don’t be wishy-washy.  Focus on the career or business that you want to have.  There are a lot of jobs and franchises out there.  Which occupation or business would feel most significant to you?

For example, if it’s a high-paying job that you wish, concentrate on that particular type of job and lifestyle, and decide what you feel would be the amount of money that you desire.

Second.  Choose precisely the amount of time that you will dedicate to attain this dream job or the sacrifices that you will make to become the owner of your own business.

Third.  Select a date that you want to achieve this amount of money and career.

Fourth.  Get a plan ready with steps that you will follow through to the end to accomplish your goal.

Fifth.  Write out the exact amount of money that you will attain at different intervals to the end of your plan, along with statements of the different learning tools that you will use along the way.  Include various strategies that you will commit to, to perfect your plan.

Sixth.  Read your statement every single day out loud, two to three times per day as you concentrate on your success.  Do this when you get up in the morning, in the afternoon on your way to lunch, and especially when you retire to bed.

Only those that practice affirmation and become money conscious achieve their spectacular dream job, and receive wealth.

Remember, you make the choice as how much you will give and to what will be the final consequence of your desire.

Do know that you will never have it, if you don’t honestly believe that it will be yours.  If you don’t see the dollar signs in your mind, you won’t see them in your bank account either.

Have you ever heard of the power of persuasion?  Well persuade yourself and recite that you are deserving of a fabulous life, and yes, you can and will make it happen!

Choosing a Vocation – StudentScholarships.org

January 6th, 2010

As I begin to live more independently from my family, I must make more and more decisions for myself, and base those decisions on what is best for me. On some levels, those decisions are fairly obvious, such as taking the hardest classes available and staying healthy. But decisions to achieve these goals are easy and instinctual. The decisions with which I struggle, and which I believe are crucial to my future success and happiness, are those related to what career path I will choose. What career will make me happy, and captivate my attention for the majority of my life?

Like the majority of my freshman class at college, I enrolled in premed classes, applied for a lot of scholarships, but I didn’t really know why. I knew that I had really enjoyed chemistry, biology, and math in high school, and that my parents wanted me to be a doctor. So it seemed like the logical choice, to devote most of my class hours to premed requirements. However, I forgot (or chose to ignore) another detail that I now acknowledge was important: that those three classes were not the only ones that I had really enjoyed, and when I thought about it more, I couldn’t really figure out why I had enjoyed a lot of classes. I didn’t know whether I had liked the class teacher, the subject matter, the structure of the class, or maybe the fact that it was easy. So now I’m a bit stuck.

The aforementioned goals that I have now, taking hard classes and staying healthy, are really just means to an eventual end. Achieving those goals will allow me to have a long and flourishing career, which is the ultimate aim. The real choice is finding what profession I want. I know that my decision does not have to be permanent, that I can change occupations, but I want to find something to which I can wholeheartedly devote myself and become someone who really makes a difference in the world. I don’t want to be mediocre, I don’t want to be ordinary, and I don’t want to be “just another” something. What path can I choose that will let me excel and be a real contributor to society?

Once I establish what vocation I want to pursue, all other decisions will stem from that one. I will know what educational route I need to follow, what opportunities will give me the chance to reach the top of my profession, and how I want to impact our world. I will be able to take career considerations into account while deciding whether to have a family, deciding where to live, and making other choices on a personal level. In the end, determining what I want to do and executing a plan to achieve my goals will make me happy and make me feel that I have truly made the most of my life.

What Hours Will You Work Teaching English in Taiwan?

January 6th, 2010

Without enough hours teaching English in Taiwan, you will find it hard to make a living. It is true that teachers get paid decently, but if you aren’t working enough hours or you find that your daily living expenses are higher than you had planned, if you aren’t working enough hours you’ll probably find it difficult to save any moreny. Another question is also how many hours do you want to teach? Some people want a lot of hours while others only want a few. What number of hours do schools usually give teachers? All of these factors and more can make a huge impact on the kind of class hours you’ll get and how much money you’ll make each month. Some people come to Taiwan wanting as many hours as possible, while others just want the bare minimum because they plan on doing other things. Regardless of your motives for moving to Taiwan, there is a minimum number of hours a school has to give English teachers.

The minimum hours you can expect to work is 14 hours per week. This is because the law states that in order to apply for a work permit and all the other papers you must be teaching at least 14 hours a week. Some schools will offer you much more than this, while others will give you the absolute minimum of 14 hours. Is this enough for you? That depends on why you are thinking about teaching in Taiwan. If you want to save money then this won’t be enough once you deduct what it costs to live, but if you have other plans then 14 hours is a good benchmark to know how much time you’ll have available to pursue your other interests.

The absolute maximum number of hours you can work is a total of 32 hours a week. This is much less than what you might be working right now back home and many people with day jobs are used to working this or even more each week. The reason 32 hours is the maximum is because this is law and working anymore than this technically violates that law. Obviously many teachers work more than this, but a school will only be able to give you a maximum of 32 hours a week. Considering the cost of living in Taiwan, this should provide an opportunity to be able to save money and is most likely more than enough teaching hours for many people.

The average number of hours you can expect to work as an English teacher in Taiwan is around 20 hours per week. This might be good for you and you don’t need anymore hours, but for many people it probably won’t be enough, especially if you are married. Some schools will only be able to offer you the minimum of 14 and some may be able to offer up to 30 a week. Be aware that it is rare to find schools offering the maximum load of hours, and most will promise anywhere from 14 – 24 hours per week.

What Are the Average Hours Teaching English in Taiwan?

January 6th, 2010

Taiwan is an interesting place to teach English, and there are a wide variety of schools that would be more than happy to have you work for them. However, will you be getting hours that suit your needs? Most schools that hire foreign teachers in Taiwan are cram schools and they are usually open in the afternoons. There are plenty of other job opportunities for teachers, but most of them are located in cram schools or kindergartens. Why or what is your reason for thinking about moving to Taiwan? You might want a lot of hours or only a few and knowing the average hours a teacher works will help you make the right decision for you regarding where to teach.

The minimum number of hours a teacher can work in Taiwan is 14 hours per week in order to apply for a work permit. This means that the majority of foreign teachers that come to Taiwan to work are doing at least 14 hours a week. They need to do this in order to be able to stay and work legally on the island. If you want to teach more hours, then don’t worry it is easy. The majority of English cram schools that hire teachers have enough classes to usually give teachers 20 or so hours per week. These hours are spread out over five or six days and you’ll typically be doing 4 hours a day. Expect to have to arrive a little bit before class but your actual teaching hours are around 20. This is what most foreign teachers work in Taiwan.

If you want to do more than 20 hours a week, perhaps you need to save up or just want to make as much money as possible, then you have a few options. You can try to find a school that will give you a lot of classes or you may have to consider working at several schools. Depending on the city you are in, your school may be able to give you up to 32 hours a week. Don’t expect this to be easy to find. Competition amongst English cram schools is fierce and many schools only have enough students to provide teachers with 20 to 24 hours a week. This is why you may want to consider looking for a second job at another school. This is a great way to supplement your teaching hours.

Expect to work about 20 to 24 hours a week and anymore is usually unlikely unless you want to get a second job. The exact number of hours you get will be greatly dependant on the city you go to and also the kind of work you want to do. If you do want to get as many hours as possible, then be sure to plan ahead and go for a city that has a lot of schools and a better chance of being able to offer you more work hours. Cities like Taipei and the northern area of Taiwan are the best place to find teaching jobs.

StudentScholarships.org – To be a Nurse

December 27th, 2009

I desire to attend nursing school for many reasons. The first reason came when my grandmother inspired me by giving me hands on experience with nursing. The second reason is I met a nurse named Chassity whom I came to know and respect that showed me how rewarding nursing could be. The third reason is I have worked many different jobs that were not as fulfilling as I believe nursing could be. These are three of many reasons why I want to become a nurse.

My first desire to be a nurse came about three years ago when my grandmother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. By her request my mother, my sister, and I brought my grandmother home to live out her final days. I had to push through my pain to insure that my grandmother had everything she needed and was as comfortable as possible. I did a lot of things in taking care of her that I thought I would not be able to do. She thought she was being a burden, but in essence she gave me the desire to help others as I had helped her.

During my grandmother’s last days, Hospice came in to assist us. Chassity was assigned to be my grandmother’s nurse. She was amazing! She helped us so much and I don’t know if we could have made it without her. Chassity showed me how rewarding nursing could be. I felt proud of her and I hardly knew her. I realized that I wanted to have that same pride at the end of the day in knowing that I had helped someone as she had helped us.

I have worked several different jobs throughout my life. I have never felt the amount of satisfaction in these jobs that I believe I would have from being a nurse. The nursing field has many different opportunities. You can work in a doctor’s office, at a hospital, do research, or even with Hospice. So many times people get their degree and find their career not as rewarding as they had imagined. With nursing, on the other hand, the possibilities for a rewarding career are almost endless.

In conclusion, I realize I enjoy helping people. At the end of the day I want to know that I helped make a difference. I feel as though I could get all this as a nurse. Through observing my grandmother and Chassity, I realized that nursing offers me the opportunity to have a fulfilling career dedicated to helping others. I can not imagine any profession other than nursing being so exciting and rewarding. I do not think that there is another career that could possibly compare to that of a nurse.
