Dreams And Dream Jobs Can Come True

January 18th, 2010

by Louanne Baelde

One of the most common causes of failing is the habit of quitting when you are almost at the peak of your success.  It is as such as how we humans are programmed.  To think that we are not deserving or capable to have powerful positions and maybe great riches?

Look deep into your heart and feel what you would like to become in life.  What is your dream job?  Where do you see yourself in future years?  It’s your choice.   Desire it.  Desire it so much that you can taste it.  Unlock that feeling of inadequacy.  Then nothing in the world can keep you from achieving it.

Before you succeed in life, you’re bound to meet with at least some temporary defeat or setbacks.  When this happens, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. This is what most people do, and is often what we feel that we should do.  It’s a natural response and choice.  But is it a good choice?

Don’t get fooled by thinking you are failing.  Everyone undergoes a period of slow times.  It’s all part of the process of learning before you reach success.  Don’t give up, as this means that success is just around the corner.

If God has given you a dream, don’t let it die.  And don’t let anyone tell you that it can’t happen.  If you believe that it can, and you work long and hard, your dream will come true.

There is no shortcut.  You will have to spend hours, days, months and maybe years to make it happen.  But anything that’s worthwhile in life isn’t easy.  If it was, everyone would be doing it or have it.

You must practice six practical steps in order to make your dream a reality:

First. You must think hard of what it is exactly that you want.  Don’t be wishy-washy.  Focus on the career or business that you want to have.  There are a lot of jobs and franchises out there.  Which occupation or business would feel most significant to you?

For example, if it’s a high-paying job that you wish, concentrate on that particular type of job and lifestyle, and decide what you feel would be the amount of money that you desire.

Second.  Choose precisely the amount of time that you will dedicate to attain this dream job or the sacrifices that you will make to become the owner of your own business.

Third.  Select a date that you want to achieve this amount of money and career.

Fourth.  Get a plan ready with steps that you will follow through to the end to accomplish your goal.

Fifth.  Write out the exact amount of money that you will attain at different intervals to the end of your plan, along with statements of the different learning tools that you will use along the way.  Include various strategies that you will commit to, to perfect your plan.

Sixth.  Read your statement every single day out loud, two to three times per day as you concentrate on your success.  Do this when you get up in the morning, in the afternoon on your way to lunch, and especially when you retire to bed.

Only those that practice affirmation and become money conscious achieve their spectacular dream job, and receive wealth.

Remember, you make the choice as how much you will give and to what will be the final consequence of your desire.

Do know that you will never have it, if you don’t honestly believe that it will be yours.  If you don’t see the dollar signs in your mind, you won’t see them in your bank account either.

Have you ever heard of the power of persuasion?  Well persuade yourself and recite that you are deserving of a fabulous life, and yes, you can and will make it happen!

Know the Secrets in Creating the Best Job Descriptions

January 11th, 2010

If you are an employer who is trying to find an almost perfect employee, then you need to create the best job descriptions for them. As you notice, a job description not only explains what the employee’s roles and responsibilities will entail but it will also clarify those unique qualifications that you are seeking from an employee. By failing to create a job description and hap hazardously drafting a poor one, you’ll likely end up with unqualified candidates that will waste your precious time and hiring resources.

You should be able to learn how to write a job description that gets prospects motivated and interested in working for your company while carefully weaning out unqualified people. Brainstorm about the position and take some time to think about the skills and qualifications that your perfect employee would possess. For instance, would they be able to handle various tasks, be able to use certain software or office equipment, have specific training, skills or personality? Once you have the vision of the type of person you’re seeking, write down those qualifications on paper. Next, evaluate your list in terms of those skills which are in fact realistic. For instance, if you’re expecting someone to handle multiple tasks then are you willing to compensate them commensurate with their efforts? Good people will generally cost more money. It’s just a fact of life.

Consider your current and future hiring needs. For instance, if you plan on opening up a new position in the future and may need your new employee to travel or relocate, then make a note to include this in the description. It’s no good hiring an employee today, that can’t fit in with your plans for the company. Do a little market research to evaluate how other employers have written job descriptions. What type of terminology did they use? Were there descriptions clear and to the point? If you were an employee searching for a position, would you be interested in their position?

Next, start writing and craft your job description while being extremely detailed. For instance, include the expected performance, required skills, job duties, including all tasks, and many more. Also, make sure that you include a descriptive narrative on any additional shared job responsibilities and how you’ll evaluate, measure and reward performance. Be crystal clear about what you expect on a daily basis. For example, what specific tasks and responsibilities will the person need to be successful? Are you open to paying for training courses, if so, how much?

Do you require any specific licenses or degrees or work experience? Will you trade professional experience for these attributes? For instance, if the educational background is preferred then say so.

In conclusion, writing the best job description isn’t difficult but it requires a bit of thought and effort on your part. By visualizing your dream employee, being clear about your needs, conducting market research, writing a detailed description, you’ll find the perfect employee.

How Many Hours Do English Teachers Work in Taiwan?

January 6th, 2010

The reasons people make the move to Taiwan to teach English vary. Some come for fun, some come just to experience something completely different and others come to make money. The reason you want to teach in Taiwan will be affected greatly by the number of hours you’ll be working. What hours do English teachers in Taiwan typically work? If you are coming for fun then knowing in advance the number of hours you’ll be working allows you to plan your daily activities outside of work with much greater ease. Luckily there is a standard workload that English teachers in Taiwan have and it is easy to get more or less if that is what you want.

You’ll probably be teaching about 20 hours a week if you apply at many of the most commonly found English cram schools. These schools hold English classes in the afternoons from around 4pm to 9pm. Since most are not open on Sunday, it is possible for one teacher to teach only 20 – 24 hours a week. As such this is the common number of hours many teachers work and it would be a good figure for you to use as an estimate to the hours you’ll also be working. Some schools may be able to offer you classes just after lunch and some, like kindergartens, will have classes scheduled in the mornings. Just keep in mind that teaching at kindergartens is illegal and while it does mean you’ll get more hours and make more money, it does come with the risk of being deported if you are caught working there.

Besides working illegally in a kindergarten, do teachers have any other possibly solutions to boosting the number of hours they work? There are plenty of other ways you can make money from teaching English without having to break the law. The most common solution is to just get a second job. Many schools have only a few hours available a week and they would love to hire someone who was just looking to teach 2 to 4 hours per week. Obviously you can’t live on this but when you take the hours from your first job and add in the hours from your second job, it can add up to be a decent amount of money every month. Some schools may be able to offer you much more than the usual 20 to 24 hours but this is the exception to the rule and isn’t very common.

Working in Taiwan as a teacher is easy when most schools will schedule around 20 to 24 hours per week. If you want more then you may need to ask the school first what the maximum number of hours are that they can possibly give teachers. If it isn’t enough then consider either finding another school or just applying for a second job. Getting a second English teaching job is a great way to earn some extra income from teaching in Taiwan. Just remember that the best place to find jobs is usually in the large cities.

Want to know more about which cities are the and more about teaching English in Taiwan? Find out the truth about teaching in Taiwan from someone who has personally experienced it so you can teach English in Taiwan without making the common mistakes most people do.Article Source:http://www.articlesbase.com/careers-articles/how-many-hours-do-english-teachers-work-in-taiwan-1673662.html
